Nine Australian Soldiers who fought in the Battle of Fromelles in France were formally identified at the 2018 Fromelles Identification Board in April. In its announcement, The Australian Army acknowledged the work of The Fromelles Association of Australia, the original Fromelles project team and the forensic specialists who all worked and contributed to these outcomes.
Guests of Honour at the Fromelles Association AGM will be from The Australian Army Unrecovered War Casualties, Fromelles Project Team, and there will be an update on the quest to find identities for all those recovered from the ground at Pheasant Wood.
The Fromelles Association of Australia invites those with an interest in the Battle of Fromelles to its Annual General Meeting on Sunday 29 July 2018 at Castle Hill RSL Club, 77 Castle Street, Castle Hill.
There will also be guests invited to share in various aspects of the Fromelles discovery, and There will also be discussion of the content for inclusion in the Association’s recently created web-site: www.fromellesremembered.wordpress.com.
