{"id":124,"date":"2007-12-07T13:27:00","date_gmt":"2007-12-07T02:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fffaif.wordpress.com\/about\/the-john-laffin-travelling-prize-university-of-nsw\/"},"modified":"2022-04-28T17:24:38","modified_gmt":"2022-04-28T07:24:38","slug":"the-john-laffin-travelling-prize-university-of-nsw","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/?page_id=124","title":{"rendered":"The John Laffin Travel Scholarship Prize winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The John Laffin Travel Scholarship Prize was awarded (2005-2008) to achieve the advancement of education, in Approved Australian University Courses, particularly in the field of Australian History with its major emphasis upon the participation of Australians in the Great War 1914- 1918 (WWI)<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since 2017 the John Laffin Memorial History Prize has been awarded (see separate page for details &#8211; \u2018About: <a title=\"John Laffin Travel Scholarship Prize\" href=\"http:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/?page_id=19\">The John Laffin Memorial History Prize<\/a>&#8216;.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">The John Laffin Travel Scholarship Prize (JLTSP) was intended to encourage undergraduates studying Australian History to visit the battlefields of The Great War to enhance their appreciation of participation of Australians in the Great War 1914- 1918 (WWI).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The inaugural John Laffin Travel Prize was awarded in 2005 to Sam McSkimming.
