{"id":133,"date":"2007-12-08T11:50:03","date_gmt":"2007-12-08T00:50:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fffaif.wordpress.com\/about\/association-history\/"},"modified":"2016-12-05T08:34:26","modified_gmt":"2016-12-04T22:34:26","slug":"association-history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/?page_id=133","title":{"rendered":"Association&#8217;s History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Australian military historian and author <strong>John Laffin<\/strong>, proposed the creation of the <em><strong>Families and Friends of the First AIF (FFFAIF<\/strong><\/em>) which is <strong><em>Dedicated to Digger Heritage<\/em><\/strong>, at the opening of the Australian Corps Memorial Park at Le Hamel on 4th July 1998.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A group of dedicated supporters met in early 2000 to implement his concept. The <strong><em>FFFAIF<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was incorporated in\u00a0mid 2002 with the late John Laffin&#8217;s son Craig\u00a0becoming the association&#8217;s Founding President, who after four years of valued service, retired from the position in 2006.
