The exhibition was held in the Pandora Room of the Library until 7<sup>th<\/sup> May and was put together by two local men, Jim Elliott and Roy Cameron.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-3898\" href=\"http:\/\/fffaif.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/14\/anzac-day-coolah-nsw-09\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-017_sml\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3898\" title=\"AlectownCoolahDunedoo 4 09 017_sml\" src=\"http:\/\/fffaif.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-017_sml.jpg\" alt=\"AlectownCoolahDunedoo 4 09 017_sml\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-017_sml.jpg 336w, https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-017_sml-224x300.jpg 224w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since December 2008, Jim has been researching from sources, such as newspapers and honour rolls, and utilising the National Archive\u2019s service records, all those enlistments with a connection to Coolah. As with any rural town in the 1900s, many of the \u2018locals\u2019 were itinerant labourers working on district farms, but there was also a core of long-established families who gave their sons or husbands to the war effort.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-3899\" href=\"http:\/\/fffaif.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/14\/anzac-day-coolah-nsw-09\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-038_sml\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3899\" title=\"AlectownCoolahDunedoo 4 09 038_sml\" src=\"http:\/\/fffaif.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-038_sml.jpg\" alt=\"AlectownCoolahDunedoo 4 09 038_sml\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-038_sml.jpg 448w, https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-038_sml-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While Lieut Col Arnott may be the most well-known local to have served, there were a considerable number of men who were awarded bravery medals for service in the Infantry, Light Horse or Australian Flying Corps (AFC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-3900\" href=\"http:\/\/fffaif.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/14\/anzac-day-coolah-nsw-09\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-039_sml\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3900\" title=\"AlectownCoolahDunedoo 4 09 039_sml\" src=\"http:\/\/fffaif.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-039_sml.jpg\" alt=\"AlectownCoolahDunedoo 4 09 039_sml\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-039_sml.jpg 448w, https:\/\/fffaif.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/alectowncoolahdunedoo-4-09-039_sml-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each Digger had their story told in a framed biography, and medal citations were provided when appropriate.
