An invitation from the First Battalion Association<\/strong><\/em> to attend the Pozieres Day Commemoration in Sydney:<\/p>\n

Date<\/strong>:\u00a0 Sunday 25th<\/sup> July 2010<\/p>\n

Venue<\/strong>: Saint Columba Uniting Church, Corner Ocean & Forth Street Woollahra<\/p>\n

Colonel Warwick Austin, the Guest of Honour will arrive at 9.30am and at 9.45am the Pipes and Drums of the Scots College Band will arrive and the Guest of Honour will take the Salute. At 10am the service will commence after the parade of Colours of the 1st<\/sup> Battalion 1st<\/sup> AIF, carried by the 1\/19 Royal NSW Regiment Guard.<\/p>\n

This most impressive Service conducted under the Cross of Pozieres has been continuous since 1935, passed on from 1st<\/sup> Bn 1st<\/sup> AIF to the 1st<\/sup> Bn 2nd<\/sup> AIF and finally to the 1st<\/sup> Battalion Royal Australian Regiment.<\/p>\n

After the Service morning tea will be served.<\/p>\n

Medals to be worn where applicable.<\/p>\n
