The John Laffin Travel Scholarship Prize winners

The John Laffin Travel Scholarship Prize was awarded (2005-2008) to achieve the advancement of education, in Approved Australian University Courses, particularly in the field of Australian History with its major emphasis upon the participation of Australians in the Great War 1914- 1918 (WWI).

Since 2017 the John Laffin Memorial History Prize has been awarded (see separate page for details – ‘About: The John Laffin Memorial History Prize‘.)

The John Laffin Travel Scholarship Prize (JLTSP) was intended to encourage undergraduates studying Australian History to visit the battlefields of The Great War to enhance their appreciation of participation of Australians in the Great War 1914- 1918 (WWI).

The inaugural John Laffin Travel Prize was awarded in 2005 to Sam McSkimming. The 2006 Prize was awarded to John Holland; in 2007 the winner was Laura Grumley and in 2008 the winner was Quetzal Himmelreich-Bell.
