Fromelles Day 2025 – Commemorating the 109th anniversary of the Battle of Fromelles 19 July 1916

Fromelles Day Services of Commemoration of the 109^th anniversary of the Battle of Fromelles were held in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane and Fromelles on Saturday 19 July as follows:

In Sydney, the Fromelles Commemorative Procession gathered at the Archibald Fountain at 10:00am to re-enact the final parade of the 5^th Division Veterans to the Anzac Memorial where there was a Commemorative Service with wreath laying commencing at 10:50. In Ipswich, QLD at the Honour Stone at the RS Memorial Hall, the commemoration, organised by the 31st Bn Association (Brisbane) commenced at 11a.m. see 31st Infantry Battalion Association – 31st Infantry Battalion Association.  Images of the commemoration are at Gallery – 31st Infantry Battalion Association

In Melbourne – The commemoration at The Shrine of Remembrance, organised by The Friends of the 15^th Brigade was live streamed on the Shrine’s web site Remembrance services  (shrine.org.au) from 1:30pm Battle of Fromelles | shrine.org.au – the Fromelles Day 2025 Melbourne Record of Service  can be seen and downloaded by clicking here; and
